ACE Week - Year 2
Year 2 have enjoyed investigating the question 'Why is it so important to be a responsible archaeologist?' Within English, they have written narratives, instructions and diary entries related to Howard Carter's discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb.
They have discussed and debated the question in history sessions and all created their own speech explaining why. As a class, they decided that it is important because artefacts are primary sources and can tell us lots about how past civilisations lived.
They have used their skills taught in art to create effective paintings showing what life was like in the past. They have also used drama and music skills to create theatrical pieces that recreate the discovery of the tomb! They have worked so hard and we are incredibly proud! We can't wait to see what else they explore and create during the rest of the week! Well done Year 2!
