Thursday 8 July 2021 Euro Semi-final celebration! To celebrate England making it through to the Euro 2020 Final this weekend the children are welcome to come to School tomorrow wearing red and white clothes or their football shirts.

Thursday 17 June 2021 Eat Fresh Competition Well done all children of Royal Rise, final submissions have come in for the Eat Fresh competition and we have received 82 entries across all year groups! That’s amazing??, fingers crossed and let’s see if we can win some vouchers for our school! Good luck ??

Wednesday 19 May 2021 ACE Week - Year 6 Year 6 have had a fantastic week putting all of their curriculum skills to work through drama, art, writing and maths. They've also experienced what it might have been like to be a child at school during the victorian era!

Friday 14 May 2021 ACE Week - Year 1 Year 1 have thoroughly enjoyed writing their own versions of Jack and the Beanstalk, with the additions of pineapples, witches and castles; they're rather magnificent! They have also been showing off their DT skills by making 3D Tudor houses, and their art skills by painting their own castles.

Wednesday 12 May 2021 ACE Week - Year 3 Year 3 have been working hard on their ACE work over the past couple of days. They have produced wonderful poems, newspaper reports and paintings all around answering their topic questions ‘The Romans made life in Britain better. True or false?

Wednesday 12 May 2021 ACE Week - Year 2 Year 2 have enjoyed investigating the question 'Why is it so important to be a responsible archaeologist?' Within English, they have written narratives, instructions and diary entries related to Howard Carter's discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb.

Monday 10 May 2021 ACE Week - Year 5 Year 5 have thoroughly enjoyed the start to ACE week. We've seen some incredible art work, excellent team work and fantastic resilience during their work!

Monday 10 May 2021 ACE Week - Year 4 Year 4 have loved their first day of ACE. the children were focusing on the Vikings and answering the key question ‘Heroes or Villains’. Children have been creating routines to recreate an invasion, debating and sketching longboats, and will apply watercolour to this.

Tuesday 27 April 2021 Continuing our journey to become a greener school As part of our journey and challenge set by Eco-Schools UK, we're working hard to introduce new species of plants, flowers, vegetables and fruits; which we hope will encourage new species of animals, insects and pollinating insects, to call Royal Rise home.

Tuesday 20 April 2021 Ramadan Celebrations Across the school, we have been learning about Ramadan this week. Two of our year 3 children bought in their beautiful prayer mats and explained how they celebrate Ramadan with their families.

Monday 19 April 2021 We're excited to show you what we've been up to during half term! Mr & Mrs Cheeseman and a small team of volunteers have been incredibly busy transforming our central area into a fantastic sensory and vegetable garden. There's lots of lovely plants, which are perfect for a sensory space, a variety of calming musical instruments as well as a 'sensory walk' with a variety of different textures. We can’t wait for all our children to experience the sensory garden and reap the benefits that an outside learning space can bring to deepen children’s learning and experience of the world around them. But it doesn't stop there!

Tuesday 13 April 2021 Year 1 Outdoor area rejuvenation! Mrs Kearney and Mrs Whittle have been hard at work redesigning their outside area for Year 1. There's now an outside seating area, a trough for growing fruits, vegetables and flowers as well as a variety of other outside learning resources to aid their learning of plants, flowers, insects and animals!

Thursday 1 April 2021 We've achieved 'Green Flag' status! We're very excited to announce that our efforts to improve bio-diversity on our school grounds, as well as our eco-committee's efforts to inform and teach others about the importance of ecology has been recognised by Eco-Schools England.

Monday 15 March 2021 Rock Down Relief UK This week, children from Year 2-6 will be competing in the Times Tables Rockstar's Rock Down Relief. A chance to compete against each other using their times tables knowledge. Which class will come out victorious? Who will be the Royal Rise Champion of Champions?!!

Friday 27 November 2020 Eco-School Bronze Award Achieved! We're very proud to announce that we have achieved our first award on our road to becoming a more ecological and sustainable school. Members of Year 6 have taken on the challenging task of the 'Eco-Schools Green Flag Award', but have risen to the occasion completing a sustainability review as well as reviewing the school's current practices!

Thursday 26 November 2020 Sports Leaders Some of our Year 5 and 6 children have taken part in training to help them become effective sports leaders within school. During their training, they discovered different qualities needed to be a sports leader and took part in team games. They are looking forward to leading sports events within their bubbles.
